Requisition Summary:
PACCAR India is looking for a skilled Technical Lead for Vehicle Installation to join our dynamic team in Pune, specializing in the design development and Integration of Vehicle, Vehicle components and systems.
As a Technical Lead at PACCAR, you will leverage your expertise in Layout development, component packaging, installation drawing, and coordination with cross functional team to ensure Vehicle parts are installed safely, efficiently and compliance with technical requirements.

Job Function / Responsibilities:
- Lead vehicle installation design and integration, covering new development of mounting systems, BEV coolant piping, brake system routing, EAS bundles, fuel lines, and steering lines.
- Create and review installation layouts, 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly/installation guidelines.
- Ensure seamless integration of vehicle systems with structural components and surrounding geometry.
- Support prototype builds and vehicle trial fitments to validate design feasibility.
- Identify and resolve installation-related issues across design, build, and testing phases.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reports, design reviews, and engineering change requests.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal design guidelines.
The primary function for this position includes:
- Act as the technical point of contact for Vehicle installation within cross functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, procurement, testing).
- Understand design requirements, clearance check, drawing standards, GD&T, and Bill of Material (BOM).
- Experience in Vehicle installation and Chassis mount parts.
- Provide technical assistance to teams and ensure their productivity and delivery deadline.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Mechanical engineering.
- Strong proficiency in NX and Teamcenter.
- Strong understanding of Brake system, coolant line, fuel line Steering line and routing with surrounding component
- Strong understanding other vehicle systems – Driveline, suspension, EDM, Brake & Fuel system, Chassis Frame
- Excellent understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up, and engineering drawing practices.
- Experience in tool clearance like Vismockup.
- Ability to collaborate with both local and global engineering teams
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
- Expertise in component validation, test procedures and issue resolution
- Hands-on experience with product design & development lifecycle
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
