Responsible for planning and monitoring the maintenance and repair of vehicles in the rental fleet.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE FUNCTIONS

  • Listening to and understanding client needs
  • Welcoming clients, by telephone or in person, with courtesy and eagerness to meet their reasonable expectations;
  • Coordination of roadside assistance needs when a customer notifies of a breakdown on the road.
  • Be available to take emergency calls on weekends and nights on a rotating schedule (pay premium applicable)


TECHNICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS

  • The establishment of a detailed list of tasks and/or repairs to be performed when making appointments for each vehicle in the "follow-up schedule" as well as for vehicles registered in the preventive maintenance program (PEP);
  • The opening of vehicle work orders, including the verification of recall campaigns, warranties, overdue parts, maintenance due, etc.; 
  • The assignment of work to mechanics according to priorities and the supervision of the quality and timelines of the work of the mechanical workshop;
  • Tracking and coordinating the return journeys of vehicles within the time limits agreed while notifying customers and contacting, as the case may be, carriers;
  • The update of the "recap" or recap of the day;
  • Tracking repair records of vehicle damage;
  • Updating the "preventive maintenance control log";
  • The follow-up of the annual inspections carried out by an agent of the SAAQ for vehicles in short-term and long-term rental.
  • The assignment of purchase order numbers (PO) for external services such as parts purchases or specialized service purchases with the approval of the Service Supervisor;
  • Opening files at  PacCentral for roadside repair  work; 
  • Updating knowledge on the changes and novelties of different manufacturers, to understand the operation of different programs and warranty terms;
  • Production of weekly and/or monthlyreports.

Qualification

  • Have more than 2  years of experience relevant to the maintenance of a heavy vehicle rental fleet (asset)
  • Be bilingual (read, spoken and written);
  • Have a good knowledge of the computer systems of the MS Office suite.
