Division Information

PACCAR Parts operates a network of parts distribution centers offering aftermarket support to Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and customers around the world. Aftermarket support includes customer call centers operating 24 hours a day throughout the year and technologically advanced systems to enhance inventory control and expedite order processing.

Requisition Summary

The Volume Sales Specialist primary responsibility will be the volume sales desk that includes working with Product Marketing and suppliers to develop and administer volume buys and new business opportunities with dealers in the US, Canada and Mexico.  The ideal candidate will have a desire to advance within the Sales department to a position of increasing responsibility including District Parts Manager, Inside Sales Manager or Sales Office Manager.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product marketing to understand key Marketing objectives, supplier relationships, LTA and other crucial policies related to specific targeted product lines; keep Marketing Directors informed on all opportunities and issues
  • Build relationships with key suppliers and negotiate volume buys and cost concessions
  • Understand freight policies and negotiate freight rates, multiple drops, cross dock and cross border opportunities
  • Research and understand dealer purchasing habits using sales history reports, MDI and other resources; identify and present purchasing opportunities for focus product lines 
  • Educate sales staff and dealers on benefits of volume purchasing, current programs and new opportunities via WebEx, conference calls and training events
  • Ensure provided quotes and entered orders are placed with accuracy and compliance to audit policies; support the entire order process including quoting through the Competitive Sales Request process, order entry, follow-up, open order reports, sales reports and credit requests 
  • Cross train in all areas of the Sales Administration department
  • 85% focus on US and Canadian dealers & 15% on Mexico and Latin America dealers


  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management or other related field required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Intermediate or better experience / knowledge with Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment, fast-paced environment
  • Bi-lingual skills with Spanish highly desirable
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales and marketing or related environment desired
  • Knowledge and understanding of export compliance laws and regulations desired
  • Intermediate or better experience / knowledge of Access and AS400 Business System desired
