Requisition Summary
The Peterbilt Warranty Department is seeking a Warranty Return Center Manager in Renton, Washington to manage a team of warranty technicians testing components replaced under PACCAR warranty guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background in inspiring and managing employees while leading them to meet department and divisional goals.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a high performing team, which includes supervising, personnel development, team building, workload management and tracking progress
- Proactively work with Engineering, Warranty, Service, and PACCAR Parts network on solutions to improve customer uptime
- Prepare status reports and other detailed reporting, as directed
- Demonstrated professional and successful communication skills (verbal/written) with strong, effective interpersonal abilities
- Present to Peterbilt and Kenworth Senior Management with clarity and confidence
- Some travel required
Qualifications / Skills
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Knowledge and experience with PACCAR programs (PACCAR.NET / VOG / RMI / TCS)
- Experience with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Experience in working with suppliers
- Outstanding organizational, planning and tracking skills
- Creative approach to identifying solutions and problem solving
- Product knowledge of both engine and vehicle systems preferred
- Knowledge of warranty systems and processes preferred
- Lean Belt desired
- Ability to respond with diplomacy and tact
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree preferred
