Requisition Summary

This new position will work in the Customer Service Technical Publications group and be responsible for technical communications and publications management.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Write, photograph, video, draw, edit and coordinate the production of written and visual service information.
  • Research product information based on input from subject matter experts, product teardowns, and engineering specifications and schematics.
  • Convert existing Service Manual procedures into step-by-step service “jobs” for easier dealer technician consumption.  Includes part number research and step specific labor time studies.
  • Enter “short descriptions” for existing operator’s manual content within the PACCAR Content Management System.
  • Review Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and accuracy

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Working on a BA/BS in Communication, Engineering, Business or similar field. 
  • General automotive knowledge of systems/components and how they function/interact preferred
  • Strong computer skills including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate ideas, verbally and in text format, in a clear, concise manner.
  • Good organizational, schedule management, time management and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work on diverse tasks and projects with minimal guidance.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
