PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows IIS Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and maintenance of our Windows Server environment, specifically focusing on Internet Information Services (IIS). The Windows IIS Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our web applications and websites. This is a hands-on technical role that requires strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments running IIS.
- Monitor, optimize, and tune IIS servers to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and troubleshoot web applications on IIS servers.
- Implement security measures, including SSL certificates, firewall rules, and access controls.
- Manage and troubleshoot IIS-related issues, such as application pool failures, HTTP errors, and authentication problems.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning for IIS servers.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and vulnerabilities related to IIS administration.
- Create and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system.
- Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience as a Windows IIS Administrator or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of IIS architecture, including websites, application pools, virtual directories, and modules.
- Proficient in troubleshooting IIS-related issues using tools like event logs, IIS logs, and performance monitoring tools.
- Experience with configuring and managing SSL certificates, HTTPS, and secure web communication.
- Familiarity with load balancers, reverse proxies, and content delivery networks (CDNs), F5 Access Policy Manager
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, are a plus.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
