Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Parts Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in Sales Davelopment. Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while enhancing your resume. At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management. The Sales Development Intern will provide assistance in developing sales opportunities to the Kenworth and Peterbilt sales teams utilizing business intelligence tools to analyze sales data and trends. The intern will also help support both the Peterbilt and Kenworth sales teams processing credit and purchase order requests, assist in the coordination of customer visit agendas, learn the Competitive Sales Request and Volume Sales processes, and other tasks as assigned. The intern will provide benefit for PACCAR Parts and Sales Development as well as develop and demonstrate their skill set.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Under guidance of supervisor, manage/lead project with the Internal Sales team
  • Help support Sales team as needed
  • Attend intern orientation and training sessions
  • Communicate effectively with team members, dealerships, and sales management
  • Manage/participate in other special projects as assigned


Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled, returning or recent college graduate in business or communications-related field
  • A strong career interest in Sales or Marketing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivation and energetic personality
  • Team-oriented
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently or with others
  • Strong PC Skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
