Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

The Greenhouse Gas Solutions (GHG) team is at the forefront of PACCAR’s regulatory compliance efforts, helping to ensure conformity to increasingly stringent requirements.  Working as a member of a cross-divisional team of subject matter experts, you will help to shape PACCAR’s ability to respond to an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.  This position will utilize advanced cloud technologies to help business users analyze complex datasets to help ensure regulatory compliance and provide forecasting capabilities informing PACCAR’s product planning now and into the future.  A successful candidate will be highly self-directed, willing to learn new tools & technologies, an excellent problem-solver and be able to work with all levels of the organization. As a key technical resource, the successful candidate will contribute to the sustaining and enhancement of the entire GHG technology stack.  Strong experience in software development, excellent written and verbal skills are required.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Identify dependencies between impacted systems to coordinate change effectively

  • Understand and communicate technical requirements to both technical and non-technical team members

  • Develop quality code and its associated documentation, adhering to team & departmental guidelines

  • Provide support including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and resolution

  • Provide technical expertise for system design, testing, implementation and support

  • Assist Business Analyst in requirements gathering and validation

  • Perform technical solution design, unit testing, and technical documents authoring

  • Assist in resolving production support problems.  Develop and suggest alternative approaches to resolving problems

  • Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews

  • Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.  Identify and resolve issues, as appropriate

  • Work as part of an Agile Team to deliver projects that meet customer expectations and achieve the required business benefits

  • Ability to work periodic evenings and weekends for production support and implementations, as needed

3+ years of software development and/or application support experience.

Minimum of 3 years programming knowledge/skill in the following technology, but not limited to, is required:

    • ASP.NET 4.8 Framework and .Net Core 3.0

    • C#, Web API,

    • Angular 10.x

    • Entity Framework

    • Client side languages (Bootstrap 4, Javascript, Typescript, AJAX)


    • Database/Data Model knowledge of MySQL or SQL Server

    • ETL knowledge, Talend is plus,

    • MDM Knowledge, Stibo is plus.

    • AWS EC2, RDS, S3 and Lambda knowledge

    • Python, Java

    • Linux environment and Putty commands

    • Azure, CD/CI process

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision.

  • Demonstrated strong technical leadership skills.

  • Strong understanding of business process, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
