Kenworth Truck Company is the manufacturer of The World’s Best® heavy and medium duty trucks. Kenworth is an industry leader in providing fuel-saving technology solutions that help increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The company’s dedication to the green fleet includes aerodynamic trucks, compressed and liquefied natural gas trucks, and medium duty diesel-electric hybrids.

 

Job Summary

This new position will work in the Service Technical Publications group and be responsible for technical communications and publications management.

 

Here's what you will do in this role:

  • Write, photograph, video, draw, edit and coordinate the production of written and visual service information.
  • Research product information based on input from subject matter experts, product teardowns, and engineering specifications and schematics.
  • Update Bulletin Page Properties/Metadata to make Search Engine work.
  • Upload images into our Component Content Management System (CCMS).
  • Special Tools Smartsheet project—adding tool information from the PACCAR Master Tool list to each Smartsheet project sheet.
  • Convert existing Service Manual procedures into step-by-step service “jobs” for easier dealer technician consumption.  Includes part number research and step specific labor time studies.
  • Create data visualizations using Tableau.
  • Update Torque Tables and Images within PACCAR’s Content Management System.
  • Review Standard Repair Times (SRTs) for accuracy
  • Update SRT Table
  • Edit SRT videos to be published for DealerNet
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

  • Working on a BA/BS or equivalent preferred.   
  • Strong computer skills including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate ideas, verbally and in text format, in a clear, concise manner.
  • Good organizational, schedule management, time management and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work on diverse tasks and projects with minimal guidance.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player

 

Preferred Skills:

  • General automotive knowledge of systems/components and how they function/interact preferred
