Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

As a member of the SAP Competency Center, the SAP Application Supervisor is responsible for the direction, planning and management of activities undertaken by the SAP S4 Application Team.  This position supports the achievement of the SAP Application team’s goals and objectives.  This position will be directing the work of functional and technical analysts, working with other department managers to ensure timely completion of joint activities, and coordinating with the business on solutions.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Executing SAP implementation by defining requirements, working with technical team in realizing the change, and working with end users in testing, training and rolling out of changes.

  • Identifying business pain points and assessing how SAP can improve efficiency.

  • Responsible to ensure the delivery of the global template supporting the execution of SAP business processes.

  • Leads relevant workshops to map business process requirements for system functionality, determine gaps, and recommend solutions for identified gaps.

  • Works with business owners and leadership to develop new “To-Be” business processes.

  • Manages expectations and performance among Core team to deliver objectives.

  • Leads Scrum team consisting of cross functional team members in all ceremonies throughout the sprint.

  • Promotes a continuous improvement culture within the team through regular process improvement activities pertaining to technology and software delivery.

  • Leads and identifies continuous improvement projects identified within the work stream or across other work streams.

  • Collaborate within the department to ensure alignment and adherence to stated goals.

  • Collaborate with business areas to understand needs and develop or introduce solutions to maximize value.

  • Act as an active change agent within the organization challenging the team and business to improve and excel.

  • Manage internal/external resources as “virtual” project teams.

  • Participate in staff development, skills analysis and conduct performance reviews.

  • Mentor, develop, and motivate team members

  • Provide input and assist with tracking of SAP Competency Center Goals

  • Travel 10% domestically and internationally

  • On call availability 24/7

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of combined business and technical related experience required.

  • Prior experience managing a team a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum best practices required.

  • Maintained high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.

  • Analytical ability to synthesis data and reporting on metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both in verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.

  • Customer service oriented.

  • A general financial or human resource background

  • Proven ability to stay organized.

  • A working knowledge of project management.

  • Six Sigma experience a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required
