Requisition Summary

The Records Management Program Manager is responsible for leading, planning and managing the PACCAR records management program which is an essential component of PACCARs Information Governance program. This role will manage services ranging from maintaining and revising records and information policies and schedules, to developing records management solutions, and implementing information management/lifecycle programs. They will work with PACCAR Divisions, Legal, Compliance and Information Governance to better address the changing information and records management needs of the company.

 


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Oversee PACCAR worldwide records, information policies and standards governing records that are created and maintained by all PACCAR Divisions regardless of medium or format.
  • Guide Division Records Management Coordinators worldwide and serve as a resource to the group.
  • Provide necessary annual training, as required, to Records Management Coordinators and Controllers on Records Management.
  • Communicate and provide support for implementation of records and information policies and standards.
  • Develop and update retention and disposition policies for all records maintained by the company's divisions.
  • Work closely and proactively with Legal Department to ensure that records are managed in accordance with regulatory requirement.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and provide oversight and expertise to groups to ensure continued compliance
  • Partner with business departments to identify vital records and develop appropriate disaster protection and recovery methods.
  • Coordinate yearly destruction of records with divisions and Iron Mountain.
  • Administer IronMountainConnect web portal.
  • Provide recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of information governance, operational control processes, and enterprise data risk compliance activities.
  • Participate in all major information systems to ensure that records management functionality appropriate to the records/information assets supported by the system is included in system design. Advises IT managers on metadata requirements necessary to achieve this functionality.
  • Develop new and standardized processes; proactively look for opportunities to enhance, automate and simplify records management processes for PACCAR Divisions.

 


Qualifications & Skills

 

Requirements or a related field

·         Bachelor's Degree in library science, information management, records management preferred

·         5+ years working experience in records management or related field

·         Technical Skills: 

o    Proficiency with MS Office suite, databases, or software specifically designed for records management purposes)

·         Demonstrated progressive experience with Records and Information Management programs in a large corporate environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be knowledgeable of archival and/or records management standards and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail

Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
