Quality Analyst Role

As a Business and Quality Mainframe analyst, you will work closely with both the technical team and the business to analyze, define business requirements, coordinate, and plan sprint deliverables.  For larger initiatives, you will lead the completion of user acceptance testing by coordinating business validation and documenting the results.


The Team

As a Business and Quality Mainframe analyst, you will work onsite with other Mainframe team members at PACCAR’s Information Technology Division in Renton, Washington.  The team supports 4000+ mainframe programs which are critical to the production of Kenworth and Peterbilt Trucks across North America.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the relationship between key stakeholders, the project team and vendors.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Understand and communicate business needs in order to analyze and develop technical solutions
  • Coordinate and run user acceptance testing and document testing results and any associated defects.
  • Perform tasks associated with pre-project consulting and business case development.
  • Elicit high level project objectives and project success criteria.
  • Perform Scrum Master duties and conduct associated ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Coach and be an AGILE ambassador to the business and IT team
  • Document business and IT requirements including process flow and data flow diagrams.
  • Collect and analyze the project’s business requirements and transfer knowledge to development team.
  • Communicate effectively with business and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements
  • Facilitate workshops to scope projects and gather detailed product requirements.
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.


Required Experience and Skills


  • 4+ years of experience in business, business analyst, or quality role
  • Experience running AGILE development projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to generate technical solutions based on business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of testing processes and the HPQC toolset
  • Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent Project Management skills.
  • Develop and produce business and IT requirement documents including necessary flow diagrams



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field required
