Division Information

Kenworth Truck Company builds premium commercial vehicles for sale in the US, Canada, Mexico and Australia and for export throughout the world. Peterbilt Motors also designs, manufactures and distributes premium commercial vehicles in the US and Canada. DAF Trucks manufactures trucks in the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom for sale throughout Western and Eastern Europe, and export to Asia, Africa and North America.

Requisition Summary 

The North American Materials team is looking for an ambitious and self-directed North American Materials Systems (NAMS) Product Specialist to lead our projects from conception to launch. The NAMS Product Specialist for is a key member of the team leading the transformation of PACCAR’s legacy materials systems.  This position acts as a subject matter expert in Materials, internal processes and business requirements while supporting an SAP implementation. The position works within the Materials organization to develop best-in-class system solutions and create standard business processes. This role is hands-on and requires both technical depth and strong capabilities to understand business concepts. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

•    Understand internal materials processes.
•    Challenge and critique current business processes.
•    Facilitate cross-divisional meetings, workshops, training/testing events.
•    Support of developed applications and SAP implementations at various locations.
•    Development and execution of detailed system test plans.
•    Development and execution of end user training.
•    Management of data migration from legacy materials systems to SAP, including definition of data requirements and validation of actual data migrated.
•    Development of system documentation.
•    Support Business users through system cutover and after go-live support.
•    Perform project management tasks including project execution and reporting status to senior management 
•    Perform organizational tasks regarding change control, incident management, and audit
•    Identify risks and collaborate with the team on mitigation plans
•    Travel 25% in first year (decreasing to 10%) 

Education
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field required. Masters or MBA preferred. 
•    Advanced project management training or equivalent work experience a plus 

Qualifications

•    3-5 years of relevant experience in materials, MSS/warehouse management, data management, business intelligence, or equivalent
•    Capacity to lead and work effectively with development and materials teams
•    Proficient PC skills focusing on the Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
•    Highly self-motivated and flexible with focus on delivery
•    Ability to influence and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
•    Experience in participating in project in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline team environment
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
•    Demonstrated problem solving, facilitation, and customer service skills
•    Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision
•    Six Sigma certification or training is desired
•    Experience in Manufacturing industry

The salary range for this position is $80,800 - $126,600 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
