Requisition Summary

Improve dealer inventory and service levels to dealers by assisting Managed Dealer Inventory (MDI) Analysts and Managers.  This is accomplished by daily planning system maintenance, retail forecasting and support activities.  Additionally, candidate will develop and prepare ad hoc reports distributed to senior management.  This position will work with Spanish-speaking dealerships.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Inventory Analysis: Evaluate and optimize an inventory plan for assigned desk of truck dealers and all their stocking parts through the following: analyze and adjust forecast and replenishment parameters proactively to meet turn and retail availability goals; work on each individual dealer's parameters while building and maintaining a high degree of trust and credibility; generate analyses with batch processing to leverage dealer buying and experience; advocate for promotions and discount programs through analysis and reporting.
  • Dealer Requests: Respond to dealer requests to adjust parameters and research system issues, develop recommendations based on analysis and create promotion and incentive order recommendations. Coordinate activities with marketing, sales, administration, customers and suppliers as necessary to build exceptional customer relations and meet department goals.
  • Dealer Relationships/Communications: Maintain the integrity of each dealer interaction to support and leverage trust through ongoing communication. Actively train dealers on MDI best practices, metrics and tier levels; onboard new parts managers and work to understand each dealer's business needs and goals.  Responsible for maintaining and updating system data and helping dealers achieve optimal stocking parameters. Review dealer exception requests.
  • Projects: Develop an in-depth understanding of department processes and goals by contributing on mini games, department projects and Six Sigma projects. 
  • Forecasting: Forecast demand through analysis and reporting in JDA.
  • Continuously develop skillset and training with tools in JDA, Excel, Access, Tableau, and Snowflake.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or analytical field required, MBA preferred.
  • Skilled in Excel and Access. Query and database management experience helpful.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Inventory control, forecasting or product distribution experience helpful.
  • Show exceptional initiative in understanding customer business problems and developing inventory and forecasting parameters to solve those problems.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in inventory control or product distribution desired.
  • Warehouse Planning / Purchasing experience.   
  • Intermediate Excel and Access skills preferred. JDA, Tableau, R Studio and Snowflake skills a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and issue resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage under difficult and stressful situations.
  • Fluent in Spanish (required).
