Requisition Summary

This position will plan and coordinate maintenance work order projects and planned maintenance (PM) for a wide variety of complex electrical, electronic and mechanical installations and repairs along with coordinate contractor project activities. This position will also stand in for a Maintenance Unit Manager and Maintenance Manager on an as needed basis.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Review maintenance work orders (MWO) for content and clarity
  • Develop plans to complete MWO's in a timely manner
  • MWO plans include:
    • AutoCad drawings and written chronological order of work events;
    • Reserving all maintenance store materials required; requisitioning all nonstock materials  required;
    • Reserving all tools necessary to complete job;
    • Collecting and receiving and tagging all maintenance store and nonstock materials to complete MWO;
    • Developing PM schedules and tasks when necessary;
    • Training maintenance employees on all aspects of the knowledge required to complete MWO;
    • Estimating the labor hours per skillset.required;
    • Capturing all MWO labor and material costs and enters cost information into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), equipment or facility history file;
  • Coordinate MWO project schedules and deadlines with other departments
  • Review CMMS equipment and facility PM schedules and tasks for completeness, clarity and accuracy. 
  • Review all new equipment for manufacturer’s suggested PM instructions. 
  • Assign and enter new equipment number, task and PM frequency into CMMS
  • Chart/graph weekly MWO schedules and percent of timely completions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Strong PC experience including spreadsheets, graphs and CMMS
  • 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
  • AutoCad training with six months experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and orally
  • Four year degree in Engineering or related field preferred 
  • Strong customer service and relations skills
