PACCAR's Information Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA, utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector

 

About the Team

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in managing and supporting endpoint devices and applications in a professional setting. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn, proactive, and passionate about technology and IT administration.

 

The Role

The MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) & Intune Administrator Intern will assist the IT team in managing and maintaining the organization's endpoint devices and applications through MECM and Intune. The primary role of this position is to learn and gain hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting endpoint devices and applications, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with company policies and security standards.

 

Job Responsibilities & Projects

  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of endpoint devices using MECM and Intune.
  • Learn and assist in creating and deploying software packages, updates, OS deployments and patches through MECM.
  • Support the configuration and management of MECM / Intune policies and profiles for endpoint devices.
  • Collaborate with IT administrators to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to endpoint devices and applications.
  • Document and maintain records of configurations, changes, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of best practices for endpoint management, including security measures and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring the health and performance of endpoint devices and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies, features, and trends related to MECM and Intune.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of endpoint management policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures related to endpoint device management.

 

Required Experience

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Intune.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and gain hands-on experience in endpoint device management.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud services and functionality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.

 

Education

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field

Undergraduate Enrollment - $25 / hour

Graduate Enrollment - $30 / hour
