Requisition Summary

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting PC infrastructure (hardware and software), understanding and analyzing complicated processes to provide solutions, and making decisions under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Support and maintain Manufacturing Execution System within Engine Plant
Troubleshoot IT and Controls System issues on factory floor
Integrate applications across various infrastructure platforms
Develop new applications using Microsoft C#.net platform
Document in-house developed systems
Participate as a member of the site's IT €œOn Call€ team that provides after hours support to site's application portfolio
Coordinate activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups (DBAs, developers, and operations)
Partner with operations to ensure that maximum value is being derived from systems
Collaborate with Corporate IT support organizations on system management, testing and deployment
Represent Information Systems function to all customers in a positive and professional manner
Stay apprised of emerging trends and technologies and make recommendations for their use
Possibly two (2) to four (4) weeks per year of travel. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a customer support/service role
  • Strong technical knowledge of one or all of the following: LAN/WAN, SCCM, Network and PC operating systems, Smart devices, network hardware, protocols and standards including 802.11X, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, DFS, AD and replication.
  • Preferred technical skills and certifications include: VBScript, Powershell, Batch, CCNA, CCENT, Comptia A+ preferred
  • Prior experience working in a production manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research of IT issues, and source products as required.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
