Requisition Summary
Provide support to the Human Resources department in administering HR processes and programs for Kenworth Managers and Employees. Will serve as a contact for HR department, manage pieces of the employee recruitment & on-boarding process and other employee programs, participate in executing department initiatives and projects. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing the schedule for the location’s Tours, Events, Employee Engagement activities, and Community Outreach programs.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Human Resources:

- Provide support and customer service to employees regarding various HR topics. Utilize problem solving techniques when necessary to research employee questions.
- Participate in executing departmental goals and objectives.

- Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement by coordinating employee appreciation programs and events.

- Support recruitment activities for plant shop floor employees.
- Enter employee data into HRIS system and produce reports as necessary.
Tours:
-
- Manage/Coordinate Tours held at Kenworth Truck Company which includes: managing the tours/events schedule for the facility and processing tour requests for internal/external customers. Approximately 400+ tours held per year.
- Manage/Coordinate events held at Kenworth Truck Company which includes: VIP events, sales events, on-site classes, employee appreciation events, food celebrations, recruiting events, retirement parties, and service anniversary parties. Event sizes range from 5 – 2,000 people.
- Coordinate Community Outreach & Charitable Donation activities for company sponsored agencies, recruitment activities, and local events.
- Maintain budgets for tour/event related activities to ensure logistics are executed flawlessly, delivered on-time and within budget.
- Responsible for set-up and preparation of media equipment (installation, set up, function, and training of users), manage conference room/meeting spaces, maintain conference room configurations and office furniture to meet event needs.
- Prepare Publications and Communication devices for tours, events, community events, and employee engagement events such as a Weekly Newsletter, SharePoint Graphics, Flyers, etc.
- Be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Must be reliable with dependable and regular attendance
- Other administrative tasks as assigned. May also provide some support to Health & Safety and Training functions, as well as Plant Manager.
Qualifications & Skills

- BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field required.
- Previous experience in Human Resources preferred including experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Strong PC skills to include MS Office programs, SAP, Publisher, and SharePoint desirable. Strong proficiency in graphics software, i.e. Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, etc.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. Confidently interact with all levels of management internal and external to the organization.
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to produce accurate results while dealing with multiple interruptions, and to prioritize workload while working independently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material and information.
- Must be able to lead people in a group setting, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving and oral/written skills.
- Must be organized with a strong attention to detail and manage/complete multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to anticipate event needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License
Salary Information
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors, including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $59,600-$81,900 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
