PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers.

Requisition Summary

Perform general accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, analysis and reports, focusing on capital expenditure and fixed asset processes. The position will report to the General Accounting Supervisor.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Manage Capital Expenditure process working closely with the Division Capital Budget Manager.
• Communicate across business departments to ensure proper recording of monthly capital expenditures.
• Ensure accuracy of the Fixed Asset subledger using SAP and PACCAR Capital Budget Status Report (CBSR) systems.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis for Fixed Assets transactions, including Assets Under Construction.
• Prepare assigned monthly journal entries on a timely basis and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Respond to and submit monthly and quarterly reports to Corporate Accounting.
• Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits.
• Perform SOX testing as assigned.
• Support internal control reviews and external audit requests.
• Perform other duties and accounting functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS / BA in Accounting or Finance
• Master's Degree or CPA preferred
• 0 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus   
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
• Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
• Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally
