Division Information

PACCAR's Information Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

PACCAR is a global truck technology leader with operations around the world. The Digital Solutions team is helping PACCAR make better decisions faster by moving to the cloud, adopting DevOps/CICD best practices, and unlocking a new level of productivity & value. We are looking for technology leaders to drive this evolution.

A Digital Services Product Manager is responsible for representing the interests of our product stakeholders before, during and after product development. They should be excellent communicators, able to translate complex technical details into business friendly summaries and product updates. Similarly, they should be able to work with the business to fully understand the root problems trying to be solved with the product, translate that information into a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and prioritize work items for technical teams appropriately. Additionally, a good product manager will always be on the lookout for new opportunities to increase the breadth and depth of the impact that Digital Services has on our internal stakeholders, and ultimately, PACCARs customers. In the end, communication skills, integrity, thoughtfulness, creative problem solving, adaptability, and a consistent drive to improve themselves and their organization will lead to a successful product manager.

Location: Preferably Renton, WA or open to remotely any U.S. or Mexico location.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Build the strategy and roadmap for various PACCAR digital product offerings.
  • Drive the vision and requirements, translate them to functional specifications, facilitate a sound design, and deliver an efficient experience
  • Evaluate and prioritize requirements in partnership with fellow product managers, architects, technical managers, and digital leadership.
  • Facilitate requirements definition with design and engineering partners while identifying dependencies and relative priority with other product managers
  • Partner with product development engineers to drive shared vision and execution of product plans (priorities, user stories, backlog)
  • Work with the Project Management Office to ensure on time, and on budget, deliverables.
  • Cultivate and build relationships across business, technology teams, and the industry, to gather intelligence and bring insight about the wider enterprise picture and enable the leveraging of emerging industry standards and approaches within PACCAR.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years within a software product management position, consulting, or software development experience preferred.
  • 3+ years account management / sales / product management experience
  • Tech savvy, data-driven, and passionate about building products
  • Direct experience using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, communication platforms and tools.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Communications, with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.
