As a Data Warehouse/Solutions Architect at PACCAR Parts, you will define solutions using new and existing technologies.  You will have real influence to help grow PACCAR Parts core aftermarket business while executing the information technology strategy globally.  A successful candidate is self-driven and has deep technical knowledge in the solutions integrations and data domains. You will research and evaluate platforms, infrastructure tools and technologies to create lasting well beyond the current “app” of the day.  Long-term planning and execution skills are necessary to help ensure PACCAR Parts remains a world leader in aftermarket sales and services.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

•    Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance, and communication of an architecture roadmap that aligns with business strategies.  The roadmap ensures technical systems are secure, compliant, scalable, reliable, supportable, and achieve desired business outcomes.
•    Provide leadership for projects by defining solution architectures that conform to existing standards and reference architecture.
•    Support enterprise IT capital investment planning and portfolio management.
•    Work with global business and subject matter experts to research and evaluate platforms, servers, tools, and technologies.
•    Architect ETL solutions based on business and technology requirements that leverage AWS and the Snowflake data warehousing platform.
•    Analyzes Business Intelligence (BI) requirements and develop reporting strategies to support standard reporting, dashboard, and self-service environments.
•    Serves as the subject matter expert on data warehouse architecture, data warehouse, and data mart models.
•    Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
•    Up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

Required:
•    Deep technical expertise in multiple disciplines such as information security, systems integration, data and analytics, infrastructure application and program design, software systems development, business process design or application portfolio management.
•    Minimum of 5 years of large-scale solution architecture or design experience.
•    3+ years of architecture or development experience on Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
•    3+ years of experience with transactional or analytical databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, DB2.
•    1+ year RESTS API design or development experience using Google Apigee or AWS API Gateway
•    Demonstrate ability to think strategically and apply research trends to business capabilities and IT roadmaps.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to document and communicate ideas to both business and technology-focused audiences.  
•    Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills used to align the business capabilities with IT systems.
•    Demonstrates critical thinking skills; quickly and accurately analyze information to make recommendations.
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders of various levels of authority and expertise across divisions and industries.
•    Proactive collaboration combined with excellent communication and presentation skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to apply tools and models to develop and improve processes.
•    Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and best practices.
•    Experience with ETL tools such as Qlik Replicate, Informatica.
•    Experience with Tableau, Lumira, Power BI or an equivalent reporting tool to create impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards
•    Experience with ERPs, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Order Processing, Finance or Sales Systems is a plus
•    Strong attention to detail.

Education/Training:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; Master’s degree a plus
•    Programming languages
•    Six Sigma with DFSS experience
