Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world.This includes 19 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers.Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers.

Requisition Summary

Perform varied accounting activities with a high level of autonomy to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, analysis, and general ledger activity with a focus on marketing fund and rebate transactions. Additionally, this position performs and/or assists with statistical inventory counts, internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation. This position will report to the Manager of Accounting Analysis.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Prepare assigned monthly journal entries on a timely basis and in accordance with GAAP. 
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and reserve analysis surrounding supplier rebates, marketing funds and customer loyalty coupons. 
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecast for supplier rebates and marketing funds. 
  • Calculate and process billing for marketing funds, rebates, coupons, and miscellaneous supplier funding. 
  • Send invoice/debit memos to supplier and work to collect balance timely.
  • Prepare Sales-per-day reports in an accurate and timely manner. Perform daily margin review and analysis.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs. 
  • Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits.
  • Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in SAP, Excel, Access and SQ.L
  • Perform SOX testing as assigned.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Other duties and accounting functions as assigned.


  • BS / BA in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's Degree or CPA preferred
  • 0 to 3 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus   
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally
