Division Information

PACCAR Parts is the global provider of aftermarket parts and services to support Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and TRP dealers around the world. This includes 18 distribution centers globally that support 2,200 dealerships and over 1,000,000 customers. Aftermarket support includes world class customer centers that deliver industry leading uptime in conjunction with our outstanding supply chain that delivers record levels of inventory availability for dealers and customers.
 

Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring optimized supplier packaging of New Medium Duty, Mid-Life Update, Engine Hardware and Electric model product releases, under the guidance of the Aftermarket Packaging Manager. This includes working with new/current PACCAR Parts suppliers to capture accurate packaging data, working with Distribution Center management teams to monitor PDC Capacity levels and support Operations Support department with other key strategic analytics initiatives.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Support holistic packaging decisions including cross-department coordination with Customer Service, Materials, Purchasing, Product Marketing, Pricing and Operations for new product launches, product changes and conversions. Manage the analysis, evaluation and data processing for the Aftermarket Packaging Approval Process (APAP).  Serve as backup to Aftermarket Packaging Manager.
  • Align with Materials and Product Marketing on stocking strategies for new model introductions.  Work with Product Marketing and Suppliers to ensure new model product have completed APAP prior to initial order.  Develop and maintain a wide network of supplier packaging contacts. Host supplier contacts at PDCs to better understand the impact of packaging on capacity.
  • Monitor trends in packaging infractions from Supplier Information System (SIS) to identify suppliers needing improvements to their existing packaging that is failing or oversized. Support Aftermarket Packaging Manager with Six Sigma methodology to identify root cause and implement ideal packaging solutions that benefit PDC Operations and Customers by alleviating capacity constraints and improving quality/integrity. Track, monitor and report on savings and key metrics for all changes.
  • Coordinate with Operations Analytics and Advanced Analytics team to develop PDC Capacity reporting that demonstrates the impact of individual part packaging.  Create visualizations of available capacity by PDC, Zone and Location.  Work with PDC Management teams to ensure accurate location dimensional data, and regularly audit for accuracy/consistency.
  • Establish targets and execute action plans to ensure proper packaging is maintained, long term goal of completed APAP for 100% of PDC parts.  Report progress to Senior Management on a fixed frequency, build tools to improve management of key metrics. Serve as the owner of all part data streams and upload processes.
  • Support Operations Analytics and Systems Manager in administration Kronos, SIS, DCRM, AS400, Performance Management and any other systems that interact with the PDC network; including user permissions.  Actively pursuing continuous improvement of system performance and effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative support for all packaging replacement request workflows in SIS, serve as the subject- matter-expert (SME) for Product Marketing, PDC Operations and Suppliers.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Analytics or related area. MBA / MS is a plus.
  • Experience with new product launches, including ordering quantities.  PDC Operations experience is a plus.
  • Two Years of Data Analytics Experience in a Professional Setting.
  • Experience working with supply base. Inventory planning or PDC Operations experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity or experience with Salesforce, Tableau, PowerBI, cloud storage and compute on Azure or AWS
  • Experience with TDFSS, DMAIC and LEAN Six Sigma principles required. Certified Six Sigma Lean Belt or Certified TDFSS Belt is a plus
  • Experience with Packaging Evaluation and Criteria.
