We are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive Tech Lead (Windchill Tech + Thingworx). As a Windchill Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) applications. You will work closely with architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to implement PLM solutions that meet engineering and business requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Windchill PLM customizations, extensions, and enhancements in alignment with architectural standards and business requirements.
- Configure and customize Windchill modules such as PDMLink, Change Management, Workflow, MPM, Quality and Document Management.
- Develop and maintain Windchill components using Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, Info*Engine, and REST/ODATA/SOAP web services.
- Implement and customize Windchill workflows, lifecycles, access control rules, and business rules.
- Support integrations between Windchill and other enterprise systems, including ERP, CAD, and downstream applications.
- Develop, test, and deploy reports, utilities, and data migration scripts as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and configuration problems in development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in Windchill upgrades, patching, and environment refresh activities, supporting testing and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with architects and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical designs and solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration details, and deployment instructions.
- Follow established development standards, best practices, and change management processes.
- Provide production support and assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.
Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:
- 10+ years of experience developing and supporting Windchill PLM solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windchill PDMLink and core modules (Change Management, Workflow, MPM, Quality and Document Management).
- Proficiency in Windchill customization and development using Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, REST/ODATA/SOAP web services and Info*Engine.
- Experience configuring Windchill workflows, lifecycles, object types, attributes, and access controls.
- Knowledge of CAD integrations with Windchill (Creo, NX, CATIA, or similar).
- Experience with Windchill system administration tasks, deployments, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windchill data model, versioning, and configuration management concepts.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control tools.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Technical / Professional Experience Desired:
- Experience with Windchill upgrades or major version migrations.Windchill PDMLink and core modules
- Knowledge of integrations using REST APIs, web services, or middleware platforms.
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, or other relational databases used with Windchill.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing.
- Windchill Certification(s) is a plus.
- Thingworx Naviagate development experience is a plus.
- PACCAR systems experience a plus
