System Administrator (Windows & VMware)

PACCAR IT Europe is responsible to development, Implementation and support of all information systems that are used across Europe, India and Brazil.

Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) is a department within PACCAR IT Europe. I&O is responsible for all activities regarding IT Infrastructure. Support of our colleagues within the Service desk and managing processes like ITIL by our IT Service management team are also part of the department.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive candidate for this team as a System Administrator who will be responsible for support of the DAF Server infrastructure. As well as support to your colleagues and business units within DAF. This candidate will also be responsible for supporting and maintaining various IT environments!

As System Administrator you manage –

• Windows Server infrastructure up to 1200 servers across Europe, India, and Brazil
• Involved in performing daily operations task, solving incidence, service request including supporting other team members
• Maintain Patching, stability & availability.
• Various Software & techniques; Example: VMware ESX, FTP, Certificates, Printing, Rubrik Backup, Azure, Dell Server Hardware, and Citrix
• Actively develop yourself by training, business analysis and own research.
• Standby service for supporting systems after working hours.
• Handle Service request and Incidents for our DAF Colleagues
• Agile mindset
• Comfortable working in European time zone (08-05:30 CET).

Looking at the technical job offer we are looking for people that understand the following:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, such as Office 365 Administrator or consultant.
• Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 and running on AVS, VMware Platform and Dell Servers.
• Experience performing backups and disaster recovery
• Affinity with IT-Systems and business processes in office and factory environments.  Good understanding of the current techniques in the market
• Experience with PowerShell and Azure.
• Basic network knowledge like TCP/IP, DHCP and VLAN’s.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Engineering, or related field.

Technical / Professional Experience Desired:

• Relevant technical certifications and Azure administration
