Storage and Linux Administrator (RedHat Linux, Ansible, RHEL IDM, RH Satellite)

Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) is a department within PACCAR IT Europe. I&O is responsible for all activities regarding IT Infrastructure. Support of our colleagues within the Service desk and managing processes like ITIL by our IT Service management team are also part of the department.

PACCAR IT Europe is responsible to development, Implementation and support of all information systems that are used across Europe, India and Brazil.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive candidate for this team as an IT Storage and Linux Administrator, who will be a technical specialist with excellent communication skills and primarily perform execution and control tasks. You will work in a customer-oriented manner, providing service from your area of expertise.

As System Administrator you manage –

• Monitoring and maintaining Linux-based systems, including SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage).
• Resolving incidents and troubleshooting issues related to SAN and NAS.
• Implementing changes and performing system updates as needed.
• Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure proper functioning of storage systems.
• Managing storage capacity and performance, optimizing resources to meet business needs.
• Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting step.
• Willing to work in on European time zone.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Engineering, or related field.

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on SAN and NAS administration.
• Strong knowledge of RedHat Linux, VM, RH Satellite and RHEL IDM.
• Strong familiarity with IDM and Ansible is a plus.
• Must have experience with high performance computing based on RedHat Linux and Bright Cluster Manager.
• Understanding of storage protocols, such as iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting SAN and NAS devices

Technical / Professional Experience Desired:

• Good communication skills
• Relevant technical certifications in storage & Linux
• Good to have scripting experience
