Requisition Summary:

This position is available at PACCAR India, Pune location as an Automotive Engineer to work as a contributor in Dataset Management for embedded systems for medium/heavy duty vehicles. This staff position is required to attend release planning meetings, manage & discuss with stakeholders, compile & process the calibration in vCDM.


Job Function / Responsibilities:

  • Good understanding of powertrain application SW and affinity with engines and calibration
  • Knowledge of building automotive datasets
  • Strong knowledge with applications such as Vector vCDM, TeamCenter and MS Office (excel) is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of ECU calibration development and testing process of Heavy-duty truck applications.
  • Compile DCMs from multiple calibration owners and update label master list.
  • Create and Maintain part numbers for different component groups in database.
  • Set-up back-office files for SW/HW testing.
  • Release numbers in Teamcenter for Proto / Production depending on type of requirement.
  • Proactive, accurate and precise.


Qualification / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience / Knowledge in the Engine and Vehicle domain



  • Knowledge of Automotive system.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle ECU(VECU)
  • Basic knowledge with automotive or commercial vehicle networks, such as CAN.
  • Experience in product development and new product implementation.
  • Familiarity with personal computer software including project management tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Knowledgeable in the full process life-cycle software engineering development process for embedded systems. Familiarity with the Agile development process.
  • Ability to define, design, program, debug, integrate and test software utilizing multiple programming languages.
  • Basic knowledge in software testing (unit level, regression and integration).
  • Display effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) including interpersonal skills.
  • Interact effectively and in a professional manner with all contacts including external and internal customers and with suppliers.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent tasks effectively.
