Job Summary

The PACCAR India accounting team is searching for a General Accountant. This position will report to the PACCAR India Assistant Controller (Manager) and be responsible for the general accounting and financial reporting for PACCAR India.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Record Intercompany Invoices with PACCAR divisions
  • Ensuring accuracy of timecard data used for invoicing
  • Generate E-invoices as per the GST timelines
  • Obtaining information from PACCAR division/other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Compile and analyze overhead spending
  • Analyze monthly financial results and prepare management reporting package
  • Prepare monthly financial forecast
  • Review margins as per transfer pricing regulations.
  • Review Receivables statements in accordance with established frequency and identify discrepancies, ensuring aged items are addressed timely.
  • Prepare aging analysis to resolve issues/ discrepancies.
  • Support local tax such as GST, internal audit, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Participate in year-end closing activities, as assigned
  • Support annual budgeting process
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in Internal Control reviews, SOX testing and various special projects and ad hoc reports as assigned

Education & Training

  • Bachelors of Commerce Required
  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience

 

Desired:

  • Proficiency with SAP a plus
  • Prior experience with Public Accounting or Audit
