Job Summary
PACCAR India is searching for a Facilities Technician to manage the Truck and Parts Display Center within the PACCAR India office premises. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for upkeep and organization of the trucks and parts in the display center, in-line with PACCAR’s global guidelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain organized workshop area and component organization evaluation and retrieval of hardware for comparative purposes.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering organizations to schedule and plan benchmarking/teardown analyses.
- Follow established safety policies and remain alert for possible safety hazards in own work as well as in work of others. Maintains highly organized lab, workshop and storage areas.
- Collaborate with Facilities Manage and Global Safety to ensure local safety procedures follow global standards.
- Disassembles vehicle systems for benchmarking. Adheres to project schedules and ensures proper set-up to meet project objectives.
- Organizes components on layout boards for product reviews and cross-functional idea generation workshops.
- Ensure display center is organized and housekeeping guidelines are followed.
- Ensure truck parts are appropriately cleaned and maintained.
- Build partnerships with external local authorities to coordinate truck and parts deliveries as required.
Qualifications/Skills
- Proficiency with CAD preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems a plus
- Strong team-oriented behavior
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills
- Proven attention to detail and organization skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to grow personally and professionally
- Must be able to lift 15-20kg while following appropriate lift procedures
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required
