Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in Algona, WA. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Algona, WA, Louisville, KY and Plano/McKinney, TX.

 

Requisition Summary

Dynacraft has expanded by opening a third facility in Texas. The first phase of the expansion started up operations in a temporary facility in Plano, TX.  Our McKinney facility opened in January of 2018 and we are currently in the process of moving our product lines in phases to this location.  We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (ME) for Day Shift. The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.  All members of the start up team will wear multiple hats covering all functional areas during startup.  This is an opportunity to participate in building the foundation for the Division’s future growth. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist with manufacturing process development for new products with direct customer and supplier contact
  • Plan for and support production implementation of new product introductions including material staging at cell and packaging requirements for shipping
  • Develop labor standards for new projects
  • Design and procure production tooling and fixtures, including preparation of drawings and specs and bid generation and evaluation
  • Develop new work cell production layouts 
  • Recommend safety and ergonomic improvements
  • Assist in continuous improvement through kaizen and lean projects
  • Deliver turn key solutions for manufacturing new product lines
  • Oversee capital projects from RFQ to delivery

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with Pro-E or equivalent solid modeling system
  • Product knowledge is desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Strong PC and CAD skills
  • Prior background in manufacturing environment preferred
  • ISO 9001, APQP experience preferred
     

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred
  • Six Sigma & Project Management training strongly desired
