Position Available:  Maintenance Supervisor - Okmulgee, Oklahoma 

The Maintenance Supervisor at PACCAR Winch, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, is responsible for managing several maintenance technicians and for all maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds.  The facility consists of 84,000 square feet under roof and contains production equipment including forklifts, various CNC Machine tools, paint preparation and wash lines, and associated equipment to support manufacturing and material handling of industrial winches and drives. The facility is HVAC controlled for all seasons.

 

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:        

  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and assign work to the maintenance staff as needed. 
  • Establish and control preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment remains in top working order. 
  • Maintain the necessary records and coordinate activities with other departments. 
  • Play a lead role in project implementation and performs special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure proper staffing, training, motivation, and safety of the maintenance staff. 
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions including promotions, disciplinary measures, etc., in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Actively seeks new and improved methods of operations to ensure an efficient and competitive operation.
  • Use Maintimizer Software to facilitate purchase orders and issue monthly preventive maintenance work orders as well as track equipment repairs and repair parts applied to equipment.

 

  • ISO and Internal Audit Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with current procedures and guidelines for the facility.
  • Supports ISO Audits for Certifications for ISO 9001, 14000, and 45001.
  • Internal Communication and Collaboration:
  • Support and promote company core values of honesty, professionalism, respect, trust, and teamwork and utilize the PACCAR Continuous Improvement methodology to achieve objectives.
  • When practical, coordinate routine scheduled maintenance with the department supervisors to minimize any downtime or production disruptions.

 

  • Performance Tracking and Measurement:
  • Report on core PACCAR Winch performance measurements, defines additional measurements aligned to specific initiatives and areas of opportunity.
  • Reports metrics on Preventive Maintenance Completion percentage and Machine Uptime percentage on a monthly basis. Uses Maintimizer to track machine repairs and down time.
  • Links and aligns departmental goals to the goals of the operating center, strategic business unit and PACCAR corporate.
  • Responsible for reviewing controllable expenses and staying within annual budget.

  • Focus on continuous improvement within scope of responsibilities for developing, improving and implementing maintenance management practices and works continuous improvement projects.
  • Implements standard work and processes across areas of responsibility.
  • Organization Development:
  • Supports and fosters growth and professional development of direct reports.
  • Provides on-going coaching and mentoring to staff to drive engagement and productivity.
  • Provides clear goals and expectations to encourage successful performance of others.
  • Provide and support career development planning for direct reports

Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading industrial maintenance responsibilities as described above.  
  • Must demonstrate working knowledge of machine repair, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, electrical equipment and facilities maintenance.  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and improve performance of industrial personnel. 
  • The successful candidate will also possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills; a demonstrated ability to successfully manage others; analytical capacity and an ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals. 
  • A Bachelor level degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Position will be filled at grade level and salary based upon candidates experience level, education and certification attainment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machining/Welding/Assembly manufacturing experience desired.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong performance management and leadership skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work in fast-faced environment.
  • Excellent team player by collaborative and influential leadership.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Maintimizer Software.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
