We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Assembly Shop Supervisor. This position is an on-site office position located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  

Objective:

  • Manages daily activities of Assembly department. Provides leadership, direction and motivation to the team to successfully and effectively work to accomplish operational goals and ensure optimum performance.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:      

  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment is performed safely, that repairs are reported, and evaluates new equipment techniques prior to use in production.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the art practices.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing or related field preferred, can be supplemented by formal apprenticeship; or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma strongly desired.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical, reporting and surveillance skills.
  • Ability to proactively demonstrate sound judgement and safety management practices.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexible, dependable, able to follow directions and possess a positive attitude.
  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service internally and externally.
  • Work effectively as a team member in a time sensitive environment                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

PACCAR Winch is a manufacturer of industrial winches.  Employee is working around heavy machinery.  Employees must be able to operate safely in a busy industrial environment.  Additional physical requirements include standing, walking, bending 90% of the time.  Ability to squat, kneel on both knees, bend forward at the waist and hold hands above head.   Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  .  Must be able to wear PPE, personal protective equipment required to move throughout the shop.  This position requires mobility around heavy machinery, forklifts, and loud noise.
