Summer Internship 2026 - IT

Requisition Summary

Work with subject matter experts supporting all IT needs of the business.  Build help desk skills supporting our users, using industry leading platforms and tools.  Assist our Server and Network team to deploy and manage existing and new assets.  Work with our development team to maintain our databases and deploy software.

This position will start in either May or June of 2026. 

The PACCAR Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the development and validation of emerging technologies such as vehicle electrification and autonomous driving systems. The PACCAR Technical Center is located in scenic Mt. Vernon, Washington, north of Seattle and south of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Support and Guidance to End Users
• Manage assets, including asset inventory, topology, and related documentation and technical specifications
• Support IT infrastructure projects which include Cisco Switches, Dell Workstations and Servers, Microsoft Windows and Server OS, SQL Server

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of PC and printer support
• Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager preferred
• Knowledge of SQL Server Administration preferred 
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Platform preferred

Education

The candidate we seek will be graduating in 2026 or is currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related program.
