Summer Internship 2025 - Data Systems Instrumentation Intern

The Data Systems Instrumentation Interns will provide support to members of the team instrumenting trucks, collecting data, running tests, coordinating with drivers, Vehicle Operations, and submitting work orders.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Configure and operate data acquisition test control software.
• Ensure accuracy of test data for engineering analysis.
• Perform calibration of accelerometers, pressure sensors and other devices.
• Foster good communication and cooperative working relationships with other departments.
• Inform managers, peers and internal customers of work progress and issues.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills using Microsoft office products.
• Strong mathematical skills, basic knowledge of electronics.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic electronic circuits.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing duties and activities.

Education

Currently enrolled in an AA Degree accredited program or be enrolled in an AA degree program in a related technology.

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. We are located in beautiful Mt. Vernon, WA.
