Requisition Summary

 

The PACCAR Global Engine team is looking for a driven Project Coordinator to assist with the test and material coordination for the Engine Integration and Validation team. Specific focus will be coordinating the in-test cell and in-vehicle testing of heavy-duty diesel engines of the North American PACCAR engine families. The selected individual will work in a global cross-divisional team to develop the best performing emission and OBD compliant engine hardware and calibration for North America.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

  • Assist the development team to align test resources with testing activities
  • Track the workflow and task completion
  • Work with the development team in creating a timeline for work to be completed
  • Communicate with Program Management to align program timing with the development teams activities
  • Work with the development team to coordinate cross-divisional work requests
  • Assist the development team in the process flow for reporting and request closures
  • Manage purchases for the development team
  • Stays current on product requirements for the PACCAR engine family. Stays technically current with the heavy-duty diesel industry. 
  • Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions.

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • BS in appropriate technical field required 
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Project and other MS Tool Suites required
  • Experience in the automotive field a plus
  • Knowledge of combustion engine calibration and data acquisition tools a plus
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively multi-cultural environment
  • Self-directed, excellent analysis and engineering judgment required
  • Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands. 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills 
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
