Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Technical Center is looking for an intern in the OBD and Emissions Compliance group for its Mt. Vernon, WA location. The successful candidate will be part of a team that performs validation and compliance testing, supports the regulatory certification process, and provides targeted analysis on the PACCAR MX Engine On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) System. The opportunity will provide hands-on experience in vehicle testing and industry regulations.

PTC is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. It is within easy travel distance to Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, the Cascade Mountains, Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.  The area offers many opportunities for water and outdoor enthusiasts.

• Manage data
• Review and interpret regulatory documents
• Analyze vehicle and test data
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in a team environment
• Communication skills
• Microsoft Office skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Diesel engine experience preferred
• Electrical or Mechanical background a plus
• Interest in engines

Education

Minimum of two years of college level education towards an engineering, computer science, or other technical degree
