PACCAR Technical Center is seeking an OBD Verification Project Lead Engineer (PLE) to support PACCAR’s Global Engine team in the product development of next generation engines and aftertreatment systems. In this role, you will apply your domain knowledge and team skills to take a leading role within PACCAR Global Engines.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

  • Support calibration, verification, and testing activities to support OBD Engineers to meet project goals
  • Mentor and help develop less experienced engineers across PACCAR divisions
  • Lead and support root cause analysis for complex OBD development issues
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to improve product quality, reliability, performance, and durability of the PACCAR powertrain
  • Collaborate globally with PACCAR Engine Integration and Validation PLEs, project managers and engineering supervisors to support the team
  • Cross-functional skills to interact with a variety of groups across the organization

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of demonstrated work experience in technology and product development 
  • Detailed knowledge of current and future heavy-duty diesel engine, exhaust aftertreatments and OBD technologies
  • Good knowledge of OBD Regulatory Requirements from 1971.1 and 1971.5.
  • Must be self-directed; possess excellent analysis, communication, and presentation skills; must be organized and take a rigorous approach to engineering projects
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, including international travel

Education

 

BS in an Engineering field, MS or advanced degree preferred
