The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on equipment such as temperature, pressure and flow instrumentation, emissions FTIR analyzers and sample systems, particulate measurement systems, fuel measurement systems, oil consumption equipment, and dynamometers
  • Perform repairs, assembly and troubleshooting of wiring harnesses
  • Participate in the creation of equipment work instructions
  • Plan and schedule calibrations and maintenance activities using Fluke MET/TEAM calibration management software
  • Store and maintain calibration and maintenance records of equipment
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs of equipment connected to PLC’s
  • Respond to changes in priorities and project demands on a regular basis
  • Maintain the highest level of work area cleanliness and organization
  • Perform duties safely and efficiently

Qualifications

  • AA degree in Instrumentation Technology or equivalent trade school certificate
  • Two or more years relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of electronics and electrical theory
  • Ability to read P & ID’s and PLC logic diagrams
  • Good understanding of PLC’s and VFD’s
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to be self-directed with the ability to manage personal workload
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with AutoCad and MS Visio is a plus
