Requisition Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable DITA Authoring and Publication Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining DITA authoring and publication tools, ensuring that our documentation meets quality standards and aligns with established style guides. You will work closely with our global documentation team to improve processes and content architecture while authoring and editing DITA content in line with our information model.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Implement, update, integrate, validate, and maintain DITA authoring and publication plugins and tools utilizing Agile principles
- Develop and maintain XSLT DITA to PDF transforms that meet established style guide and publication requirements
- Validate code and debug code, report bugs and issues
- Gather requirements related to authoring and system inputs, such as XML data files
- Determine requirements for specialized DITA DTDs and DITA elements
- Collaborate with global documentation team to continually improve processes and content architecture
- Determine requirement for metadata for attributes and conditionals to publish content for a specific engine model and model year
- Author and edit DITA content and DITA maps following established information model
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience with XSLT DITA
- Experience with industry standard tools, with the ability to learn and adapt (such as ANT, Antenna House, Azure DevOps Pipelines, DITA, DITA OT, Git, Oxygen XML, Schematron, XML, and XSLT)
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education
- BA/BS degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technical Communications, or a related field) and 3 or more years related experience

The salary range for the DITA Authoring and Publication Specialist role is $100,100 - $156,600 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
