2024 Summer Human Resources Internship

Requisition Summary

PACCAR has an exciting Human Resources summer internship opening at our PACCAR Technical Center in Mt. Vernon, WA. The selected candidate will work directly with HR professionals, gaining exposure and experience in multiple HR functions. As a Human Resources Intern you will:

• Learn first-hand from top industry professionals
• Work directly with Managers and Senior Managers
• Develop mentoring relationships with HR leaders
• Gain valuable hands-on experience
• Expand your professional network
• Work with a fun, hard-working team that will prepare you for a great HR career!

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Assist with roll out of Mentor Circle Program 
• Along with the Sr. HR Specialist, coordinate PTC's summer picnic event
• Coordinate networking and engagement events for PTC summer interns
• Coordinate employee steps challenge program
• Assist in Diversity & Inclusion events
• Continuously improve our existing processes
• Create marketing materials and other communications for the HR SharePoint and Communication Boards
• Support and plan employee engagement events
• Manage/participate in special projects as assigned
• Participate in job and department duties and processes as assigned

Qualifications / Skills

• Must have ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities or deadlines
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
• Proven customer service skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program, preferably graduating in 2023.
