Eagle Creek Lodge

Eagle Creek Lodge is a private sport-fishing lodge on Stuart Island, BC, Canada. The lodge is used by PACCAR and its corporate guests for business entertainment. The objective of the lodge is to provide quality fishing experience alongside a relaxing, welcoming lodge environment, food and beverage service with an expectation of excellence and quality.

Eagle Creek Lodge operates from mid-May through September. A normal season may include from 20 to 35 individual two-night trips. A trip typically includes two PACCAR hosts and six of their invited guests for a total of eight people.

Requisition Summary:

The Breakfast Server/Housekeeper is responsible for the service and cleanup of the Lodge continental breakfast each morning at 5:30 am; and working alongside the Executive Chef’s instructions for hot breakfast items to go out at 6:00 am. This role is also responsible for serving welcome snacks to the newly arriving guests at 8:30 am every second day; and assisting the Executive Chef with Lodge staff meals. The Server/Housekeeper will work with the Chef to fulfill the duties of meal preparation, food service and lodge cleaning.

This is a seasonal position; with a typical guest season running from mid-May to September.  It is anticipated that approximately 10 hours per day may be necessary to manage the comforts of our guests, with split shifts expected. Private Room with ensuite and meals are provided.

The Lodge is off-grid and remotely located based in Big Bay, BC. Accommodation on-site is available to all staff while on-shift, and transportation is provided to and from Campbell River for days off. This is full-time, seasonal role for a 5-month period. The expected start date is April 12th, 2025; and end date September 12th, 2025.

Job duties and responsibilities: 

• Assisting the Executive Chef and Lodge Attendant(s). 
• Cleaning the kitchen and dining room areas.
• Morning refresh of guest rooms while out fishing.
• Assisting with “Change-over” day.
• Laundry and folding linens.
• Vacuuming the common areas in the lodge and guest rooms.
• Watering planter boxes and hanging baskets.
• Stocking beverage fridges, coolers and snack bar.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts Monday - Friday
• Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
• At least 5 years of experience in hospitality industry, at food safe level 1
• Hospitality or culinary certificate preferred
