Requisition Summary

The IT Operations Analyst supports the day-to-day operations of various PACCAR of Canada entities and is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting the PC infrastructure (hardware and software). This position provides Tier 2 customer support involving end-user applications and PC incident resolution to local and remote users in a large environment, via a centralized help desk and ticketing system. This position is also responsible for supporting a portfolio of applications and perform a business analyst role identifying and analyzing business needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining  project scope and objectives, and getting business user sign-off.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and support PC infrastructure including hardware and software.
  • Windows 7, 10 & Server Administration.
  • Asset management including purchasing IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for improvement and growth of the infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation including departmental and end-user policies, procedures, and diagrams.
  • Provide end-user training for Microsoft Office products and PACCAR systems.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Provide set up assistance and support for mobile and remote computing including personal mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.).
  • Manage projects by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending corrective actions when needed.
  • Function as the voice of the business user and be passionate about the user experience.
  • Provide on-going production support for a portfolio of systems and applications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or similar certifications desirable.
  • Strong Technical knowledge of Windows 7/10, iOS, Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SCCM and Active Directory desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little or no supervision with a focus on delivery.
  • Effective ability to conduct and direct research of IT issues.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.


  • BA/BS Degree in Business / Information Technology or related field preferred.
