The Role

This role is responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, accuracy as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the MDM applications. This role is responsible for designing, developing, programming testing, deploying, maintaining, and documenting procedures and its outputs. Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Engineer works in collaboration with the MDM team and product stakeholders to implement, maintain, and enhance data models and solutions used to define and measure quality of data domains. The Senior MDM Engineer applies innovative and best practice techniques for modeling, developing, enhancing, and deploying database, reporting, and integration solutions. This role will support existing MDM solutions and play a key role in new data integration and reporting initiatives that support organizational priorities while complying with the organization's IT and architectural standards.

 

About the Team

You will be a key member of the Master Data Management team within the PACCAR ITD Digital Team working closely with a team of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, and dedicated team members responsible for delivering specific business goals.

 

Job Responsibilities

•        Create and implement Master Data Management Solutions to ensure data standardization, quality, governance, enrichment and provide a single source-of-truth for the domains.

•        Works in collaboration with the MDM team and product stakeholders to implement, maintain, and enhance data models and solutions used to define and measure quality of data domains

•        Hands-on development of MDM tool configuration and customization including Data Model, Match/Merge, Trust/Survivorship, Match Rule Tuning, Hierarchy, Golden record Publication and Data Stewardship Workflows.

•        Use the appropriate tools and frameworks available to develop the data acquisition and ingestion process in accordance with the approved design and implement necessary data pipelines for Master data capture and for distribution of MDM data for downstream applications.

•        Support existing MDM solutions and play a key role in new data integration and reporting initiatives that support organizational priorities while complying with the organization's IT and architectural standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•        Technical understanding of data models, data management concepts and associated business processes and tools, specifically Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Modeling, Metadata Management, Data Quality, database design development, data pipeline, data lake, data warehouse.

•        Working knowledge in MDM full life cycle implementation with strong focus on data and with implementing multiple master data domains (such as Customer, Products, Supplier) using Informatica MDM or Reltio or any equivalent MDM tools

•        Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as development to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity using SQL, Python etc. to ensure high quality data

 

 Experience & Skills

•        5+ years of experience working with Data like Data Engineering or Data Management role

•        Experience with SQL (advance queries, tuning), PL/SQL, Python, Java, and J2EE development

•        Knowledge of and experience with RDBMS platforms, such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Postgres, SAP HANA, and Teradata 

•        Experience with real-time integration (SOAP, REST, streaming etc.) & batch integration (ETL) between different systems

•        Demonstrated experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Agile).

 

Education (List required and/or preferred education)

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, Data Analytics or related technical field preferred.
