Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector

Requisition Summary

We are looking for an energetic contributor with good experience managing Software and Asset Management system Flexera, or the interest and aptitude to learn the skills necessary to be an effective Flexera Administrator. Individual should be passionate about process and technology, multi-skilled, and willing to work in a 24x7 support model based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs).  This team member will be managing the Software and Asset Management system ensuring the highest level of compliance. The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the software and asset processes in PACCAR’s environment across the globe.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the configuration, and reliable operation of the Software and Asset management system
  • The system administrator seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security meets the needs of the users, without exceeding a set budget when doing so.
  • To meet those needs, the system administrator may need to acquire, install, or upgrade computer components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot; train or supervise staff; or offer technical support for projects.
  • Provides operational support of all system related technologies including Lifecycle management, Role management, Security, Operations and maintenance of system performance, and System integrations
  • Provides technical expertise within the team or division using a deep understanding of the product or service lifecycle
  • Influences at the peer group and customer level; works with others to gain support and commitment while executing standard processes
  • Responsible for supporting the product or service domain and documenting its processes
  • Works with the Software Asset Manager to development and execute PACCAR’s IT Software Asset Management compliance program
  • Produce and update written technical, policy and support documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ direct experience as a Software and Asset administrator
  • Success defining and launching asset and IT compliance related strategies
  • Knowledge of software distribution practices
  • Experience with Configuration Management
  • Works beyond routine nature of tasks in area of responsibility
  • Demonstrates appropriate quality and thoroughness
  • Applies understanding of business processes to assigned services
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work independently within and across multiple internal teams
  • Strong application of process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal, with the ability to handle multiple shifting priorities

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required.
  • Certified Software Asset Manager or Certified IT Asset Manager preferred.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification preferred.
