The Assistant Materials Manager reports directly to the Division Materials Manager and is responsible for leading the division Materials Planning staff (local, remote, and supplier-employed) that are responsible for managing Dynacraft’s multiple supply chains to support manufacturing and distribution for all Dynacraft facilities.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Establish performance standards and objectives for the materials planning staff that support Dynacraft operating objectives (delivery reliability, inventory management, and profit)
  • Coach and train materials planning staff on SAP process excellence to increase effectiveness and productivity
  • Interface with production, customer service, engineering, quality, corporate purchasing and suppliers to communicate and resolve material availability issues
  • Lead supplier improvement projects to improve supplier delivery reliability

Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.


  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and proven ability to supervise employees with minimum of three years supervisory experience
  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) knowledge and experience
  • At least five years of materials experience
  • Constructive written and verbal communication expertise
  • Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic
  • Proven negotiation and strong analytical abilities
  • Microsoft software proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint)
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations and heavy-duty truck knowledge are strongly desired


Education / Training


  • Four-year degree in Business Administration or other related field required
  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) training strongly desired
  • Masters degree in Business Administration or other related field strongly desired
  • Six Sigma training strongly desired
  • Project Management training strongly desired
