Requisition Summary

This position will be responsible for assuring that all Dynacraft standards are maintained throughout all operations. Unit Managers are tasked with upholding and encouraging PACCAR and Dynacraft values and mission and assuring that all Dynacraft standards are maintained throughout all operations. These include but are not limited to Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Process and Procedural standards. This role is based in McKinney, Texas.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Document safety incident investigations including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Participate in projects related to recruitment, training, and leadership development.
  • Set daily order of operations for responsibility areas and track and report progress and /or actions to accomplish goals. 
  • Work with Team and MSS to ensure material availability and removal of scrap for process flow physically and on SAP.
  • Work with Team ensure efficient and timely management of orders and JITS advancing on SAP.
  • Identify area and process opportunities and deploy action plans a project to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Work with process engineers and tram leads to ensure associates are trained at least on three functions within the area of responsibility.
  • Make sure people time and attendance and direct/indirect time is properly clocked.
  • Spend at least 75% of time on the floor in areas under responsibility, assisting tram leaders with issues, resolution and working on continuous improvement policies.
  • Complete root cause analysist documentation for Quality related issues and process/produce audits.
  • Logistically manage the deployment of shop floor team members,
  • Train and evaluate performance department team members provide regular feedback; prepare employee evaluations; recommend disciplinary action as may be appropriate.
  • Communicate with other departments as requires on plant related issues and follow-up tasks. 
  • Recognize team member for outstanding performance.

Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise, make decisions, and use independent judgment and/or action.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint,
  • Understanding of Six Sigma Minitab software is a plus.
  • A minimum of two-years production/distribution supervisory experience is required.

Education

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
