Requisition Summary
Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, strives to be the premier supplier in product quality, on-time delivery, and pre-production support to PACCAR’s Kenworth and Peterbilt truck divisions and PACCAR Parts. The Dynacraft Senior Process Engineer reports to the Assistant Plant Manager and is responsible for assisting in the development of the strategic direction for the Plant in support of Dynacraft’s vision and goals as well as supporting the Truck Plants and Aftermarket Customer requirements.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
The Senior Process Engineer role is responsible for the study, analysis, development, and documentation of the plant assembly processes. The job also includes assistance with continuous improvement efforts focusing on: departmental safety and quality improvement projects, ergonomic improvement projects, line balance optimization, and improvements in overall departmental efficiency. The role also represents Production during the process of deploying new or updated products and procedures in the work center. The Senior Process Engineer will manage the delivery of these same objectives for the other Process Engineers.
This is primarily a day shift position, but may involve a split shift if needed.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Supervise salary PE team members engaged in fulfilling all job functions and responsibilities
Train and evaluate performance of PE team members; provide regular feedback; prepare quarterly employee evaluations; recommend disciplinary action as may be appropriate.
Conduct meetings and presentations to coordinate PE team efforts and track progress towards key objectives
Track and summarize key PE team objectives in order to provide constant updates to MDC Plant Leadership
Assign duties to PE team members in accordance business need and job functions
Study and analyze plant assembly processes with recommendations for improvement
Maintain departmental training matrix, level 4’s and Training Book
Develop, document and maintain documents that define and standardize operations, including but not limited to JBS, SWI, OPL, Kaizen forms, and other process documents
Assist in the maintenance of developed software programs (Visual Factory, EWI, etc.)
Manage inventory and calibration of tooling/torque controlled tools for fitness of use
Inspect suspect product for production use and escalate to Quality or Engineering as needed
Introduce new manufacturing processes including updates to existing product lines by leading EV, DV, QV and VV builds
Subject matter expert on any Engineering Change Notifications and setting operations up to be successful
Participate in corrective actions related to internal or external defects
Communicate with other departments as required on plant related issues and follow-up tasks.
Recognize team members for outstanding performance.

Qualifications
Ability to supervise, make decisions, and use independent judgment and/or action.
Must have demonstrated leadership skills
Must be able to operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environment
Must have excellent technical, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Proven problem solving skills are required
Must lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance, dependability and safety
Must be self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation
Computer literacy is required with a familiarity of MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
A minimum of three (3) years manufacturing and/or distribution experience preferred
Demonstrate understanding of root cause and corrective action tools/methods
Hands on ability and data analysis skills a plus
Experience with SAP/RF/Operations preferred
Education
Four (4) year degree preferred – Engineering preferred
Six Sigma training is preferred.
