Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in, Louisville, KY. and McKinney, TX. 

Requisition Summary

The Quality Specialist performs a wide variety of duties necessary to assure product conformance to predetermined specifications, exercising a moderate degree of independent judgment, while working under minimal supervision. This role is located in McKinney, Texas for the evening shift. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and stay current with Dynacraft and PACCAR standard procedures.
  • Develop and execute quality system objectives.
  • Communicate quality concerns with suppliers, customers and Dynacraft employees.
  • Inspect production material and discuss findings with quality team.
  • Audit manufacturing and production processes.
  • Perform calibration and manage calibration devices.
  • Calculate metrics and draft concise reports, typically with significant graphical content.
  • Provide support including calibration & validation, material review, returned goods handling, managing of customer complaints and document control.
  • Manage customer NCPs and drive them to closure.
  • Determine acceptance or rejection of product appearance and performance, and deviations from standard specifications or allowable tolerances.
  • Prepare and process inspection acceptance or rejection paperwork, qualifying and maintaining records and files as directed.
  • Perform other duties as determined by customer need and workload.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude
  • Proficient using SAP and familiar with a wide range of SAP transaction codes.
  • General ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing or production experience
  • Team player who can work cross functionally with other departments in the plant.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment without direct supervision.
  • Detail oriented, dependable, have a good sense of urgency, be ethically minded and quality focused.
  • Safely lift materials up to 35 lbs.
  • Must possess PC based computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Education

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience Preferred
