Requisition Summary

This position will be responsible for maintaining the inventory within the maintenance department for all spare parts to ensure uptime of the equipment remains at 98.6% or higher and inventory accuracy is held to 98% or higher They will be an integral part of maintenance team by ensuring part costs are competitive and cost consequence of the overall budget provided to the department. Finally, the position will be an aid when maintenance breakdowns and tool repairs surpass the demand of the department.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Perform the daily tasks of ordering spare parts based upon the SAP criteria for the E-parts system.
  • Maintain the inventory of non-E-parts ordered through SAP and company stores for daily items.
  • Request multiple quotes from various vendors to reduce overall costs and stay within the plant budget.
  • Work with the engineer department to determine the spare part requirements on any new capital projects.
  • Setup and establish new vendors within the SAP system by providing accounting with the necessary vendor paperwork.
  • Maintain the inventory accuracy of critical and non-critical part at 97% or higher.
  • Continuously working to setup new vendors and adding more parts within the E-part system within SAP.
  • Writing the SAP service PRs for the maintenance and engineering department based upon vendor invoices or quotes.
  • Provide detailed information on status on all PR/POs within the system to validate on-time delivery.
  • To retain accurate inventory, the position will be required to receive orders within the SAP system.
  • Aid maintenance/facilities department on calls as needed.
  • Aid the tool crib operator by servicing broken tooling and ordering parts to repair the tooling in-house as needed.
  • Provide tool crib services to operations when demand is not high enough to justify dedicated resource.
  • Maintain an orderly and neat spare part area and adhere to all required 5s standards of housekeeping.
  • Support production as needed.

Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants will be detailed oriented, well organized and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applicants must be able to multi-task, prioritize, successfully handle pressure, and work/make decisions independently when required.
  • Successful candidate is safety-conscious, self-motivated, a team player, and is able to think proactively.
  • Applicant with SAP software experience is a plus.
  • Applicants with experience with hydraulics, electrical and mechanical system is a plus.

Education

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Applicant should have excellent PC skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Access.
    • Candidate must have the flexibility to work 2nd shift and weekends.
