Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial relationship with MSS providers at both Dynacraft locations. Work with cross-functional team to improve material handling and presentation to the production line.
  • Develop and submit Requests for Quotes (RFQ) to suppliers for optimized sourcing projects. Coordinate supplier selection with Corporate Purchasing and Supplier Quality.
  • Develop cost justifications for optimized sourcing initiatives. Coordinate with plant accounting groups to ensure concurrence with internal cost assessments.
  • Responsible for partnering with MSS to improve KPIs and identify cost reduction opportunities. Lead efforts to improve MSS performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Communicate production plans and schedule changes to MSS suppliers.
  • Manage commercial relationship with non-Corporate managed supply base. Partner with Materials and Quality teams to meet short-term and long-term supply chain strategies.
  • Negotiate contractual agreements and pricing with MSS and non-Corporate managed suppliers.
  • Manage MRO buyers and ensure optimal sourcing decisions are consistent with division policies.
  • Conduct meetings and formally present to suppliers, plant, and division personnel at all management levels.

Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, negotiation experience a plus.
  • Project team participation and/or project management experience
  • Creative, quality, and results driven work ethic.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise employees.
  • Thorough understating of production facilities, assembly, and distribution operations.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, engineering or another appropriate field required.
  • Master's degree strongly desired.
  • Six Sigma training strongly desired.
